I don't think the previous learning was enough to work on this as the configuration required to start up a server was very different which cause errors with my start up script

A good challenge, but seems to be too advanced of a jump ahead from prior training. The startup script is broken (should not cat to startup.sh); Removed first and last lines and it worked. Could not complete the lab, complained I did not create 2 e2-medium VMs, but I could clearly see them running, and accepting traffic--although the LB external IP was generating a 400 error. Possibly I did the wrong thing, but equally possible that the lab wasn't clear enough. I still enjoyed the challenge and learned a lot. Considering it completed even though I didn't get all checkboxes.
