Might have made more sense to start the course with this one. Also, I've now seen several times where project level IAM refers to access to resources. Which, while true, explains why we see many projects in CVS granting groups and service accounts something like storage.objectViewer at the project level, and not on buckets - which we typically call "least privilege". Also, I've seen several mentions of the "Basic" roles, which, when you go through Google's docs, they will specifically tell you not to use - these give access to all Big Query and Storage, despite the permissions not showing this.
