It is not 100% clear from the instructions that you need to add your mobile phone number to your Twitter account before you can access the Twitter API. I tried to do this but I did not receive the verification code so I was unable to see the Twitter portion of the lab in action. You *can* create a Twitter account without having access to the API so even if you have had a Twitter account for years, make sure that you have API access as well before you start the lab. You can access the apps page and click the "Create New App" button, but it is not until you have filled in your app details and you click the "Create your Twitter application" button that you are told to add your mobile phone number to your account settings.

This lab should be redesigned to not depend on Twitter.
