A few things make this lab confusing and could be improved: (1) The Java code blocks are enabled for easy copy/paste whereas some of the Cloud Shell code blocks are not (e.g. environment variables, creating bt, etc). (2) The language in the lab explains that we're making changes (e.g. "...But you want to see all the locations, so set the maximum number of versions on the get request.), but we don't actually change anything. There is only one Cloud Shell command for that entire step. (3) I think there should be a better way in the Cloud Shell to monitor the Dataflow job or at least know when it fails without having to use the UI. Adding a check step here would be helpful. (4) Lastly, to conceptually get the most out of this lab, it'd be interesting to change the schema and repeat the queries to compare performance. Otherwise, repeating the query several times with small differences doesn't really seem to accomplish much since we're not actually making any changes. Even if we could just compare a query utilizing a good schema versus a query not using the schema optimally, it could make this lab more interesting and impactful.

Time is very tight (Import takes > 8 mins leaving no time to visualize results). Was confused whether I needed to code or I just needed to run the code. Got an error when updating Java alternatives (update-alternatives: error: no alternatives for mozilla-javaplugin.so)

20 minutes is not enough to finish the labs and the lab does not seem to be 100% compatible with the Qwiklabs environment (exemple: quota exceeded) - should probably be refreshed

I finally could finish the Lab after two intents, however the time is so short that you require some additional time to review the Lab step-by-step.

Lab is failing due to lack of compute resources.

The import failed and the lab does not give any troubleshooting examples when data fails to import. Would be handy.

The instructions to import the data failed. I was able to work around that by kicking off the import using the GCP console. The import took a long time, and only left 4 minutes to complete the remainder of the lab.
