Completing the "Debugging Apps on Google Kubernetes Engine" lab on Cloud Skill Boost was a valuable experience that enhanced my understanding of Cloud Logging and Cloud Monitoring within Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE). This intermediate-level lab provided hands-on practice with deploying and troubleshooting a microservices application on a GKE cluster. I learned to effectively use Cloud Monitoring to detect issues and Cloud Logging to diagnose and resolve application errors. By setting up a logs-based metric and creating an alerting policy, I gained insights into best practices for log collection and real-time application monitoring. This lab not only reinforced my knowledge of GKE but also equipped me with practical skills for maintaining application health and performance in a cloud environment.
