the metadata_startup_script makes the task stuck. I had to remove it in order to verify my task progress. Also, the version 6.0.0 stated in task 5 results in error on terraform initalilization command. I had to downgrade it to run it successfully.

There were several errors for steps which are confusing for people which haven't dealt with terraform before. 1.) using the sample reference using a specific provider version, causes dependency errors in the network module ( Could not retrieve the list of available versions for provider hashicorp/google: locked provider registry.terraform.io/hashicorp/google 3.5.0 does not match configured version constraint >= 2.15.0, │ 3.5.0, >= 3.33.0, >= 3.45.0, >= 3.83.0, < 5.0.0; must use terraform init -upgrade to allow selection of new versions ╵) 2.) self explanatory (Error: Unsupported argument │ │ on modules/storage/storage.tf line 6, in resource "google_storage_bucket" "tf-bucket-583582": │ 6: uniform_bucket_level_access = true) 3.) the import instructions are either weird and i didn't get them or the lab-step-check script is wrong. It didn't recognize that i completed it although my instances were re-created with the bash script therefore managed by TF. The import command also requires project/zone/instance_name and not the ID. Anyway, i worked around this by creating a new dir, new main.tf putting all into that as simple compute engine, used the import again and it worked. So something is wrong with the module subtree check
