There are two major problems: 1. Cron expression "* 2 * * *" does not mean "at 02:00 am every day" but "every minute past hour 2 every day". 2. I needed to add "Werkzeug==2.2.2" to requirements.txt because I encountered this issue: Deploying function (may take a while - up to 2 minutes)...failed. ERROR: (gcloud.functions.deploy) OperationError: code=3, message=Function failed on loading user code. This is likely due to a bug in the user code. Error message: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/layers/google.python.pip/pip/bin/functions-framework", line 5, in <module> from functions_framework._cli import _cli File "/layers/google.python.pip/pip/lib/python3.9/site-packages/functions_framework/__init__.py", line 24, in <module> import flask File "/layers/google.python.pip/pip/lib/python3.9/site-packages/flask/__init__.py", line 7, in <module> from .app import Flask File "/layers/google.python.pip/pip/lib/python3.9/site-packages/flask/app.py", line 28, in <module> from . import cli File "/layers/google.python.pip/pip/lib/python3.9/site-packages/flask/cli.py", line 18, in <module> from .helpers import get_debug_flag File "/layers/google.python.pip/pip/lib/python3.9/site-packages/flask/helpers.py", line 14, in <module> from werkzeug.urls import url_quote ImportError: cannot import name 'url_quote' from 'werkzeug.urls' (/layers/google.python.pip/pip/lib/python3.9/site-packages/werkzeug/urls.py). Similarly related JSON function for varied VM Disks in a Cloud Shell that are idle can be edited for one inline Cloud Function runnable when enabled for it in a compatible browser
