There's not enough context in these directions about the various commands; in some cases, none at all (what's MASQUERADE?). It would also be good to include more real-world examples about how different rules might be used and why.

This was useful to understand firewalls, and routes, and subnets within VPCs BUT the gsutils worked on the private instance without a rule. I think the lab may be in error there.
